       Q.L.H, has three specialties. The first is its emphasis on the use of Western Red Cedar and Cypress (also known as Yellow Cedar) both of which are native species to our British Columbia, Canada, location. The second is our 'accurately milled', tightly fitted double tongue-and-grooved method of log building systems plant production. This offers consistent quality of product, with log diameters ranging from 8 to 14 inches and lengths up to 20'-6" (in 3" increments) for fewer butt joints - all in less than 1/5th of the time of handcrafted log package production. With sapwood removed, shrinkage is dramatically reduced as well. Our third specialty, made possible by our growing production facilities, is our ability to accommodate large projects in timely fashion, whether it is a size requirement (large home, lodge or commercial structure) or a need for volume (multiple units, within a defined construction period - e.g.; ski resort or subdivision).

       Western Red Cedar and particularly Cypress are species recognized globally as being highly insect resistant and very suitable to warm, damp climates. Although our specialty, we are not restricted to these species. We have ready access to spruce, pine and fir logs as well.

      The key to any customer relationship is service. Having spent the better part of our history serving overseas customers, throughout Asia, South America, and on occasion, Europe, we understand the complexities of long distance relationships. Accordingly, where possible, we match our capabilities with the services and attentiveness of local builders. Where required, we are able to send our own erection-supervisor crews.

       Finally, for your convenience we have a complete 'ArchiCAD' based design unit, allowing you to modify any of the floor plans and elevations you will see here (or your own kitchen table sketches) to receive initial quotes. Once satisfied with concept layouts and preliminary estimates you can view your new home in full 3D perspective. Our construction design services are available at very competitive prices. All plans are in accordance with your local building and energy codes.
